Highway Pick-Up & Cemetery Clean-Up
The club has actively participated and continues to participate in the Texas Highway Adoption Litter Control Program. This involves many volunteers that are willing to help pick up trash from a 2 mile stretch of RR255 at Toledo Village.
The TB Cemetery operates under the auspices under the Community Club. Ed Echeles is Chairman. Members of this committee meet several times per year to clean, mow and update the grounds.
These volunteers are rewarded with a great breakfast. Dates for 2018 are:
February 18 August 16
May 19 November 17
Every Monday @ 10 AM area women gather at the Community Club to play card games, Mexican Train, Rummy Cube, and any other games someone might suggest. Bring a lunch and stay until 4 o'clock for a great get together.
The "Toledo Stitchers" meet the 4th Thursday at 9 AM, bring their sewing machines for a day of incredible creativeness! They welcome all to stop in and visit or join in the sewing fun. A few months have a 5th Tuesday were these women also gather to complete any type of sewing, knitting, etc. Bring a lunch and stay the day.
